Hotel is more 3* rather than 4*, we stayed for a week in Sept08. The farmhouse area is old but this is no reason for the furniture and dining room to look shabby and dirty. The pool area has sunloungers on what must be their last season and pool towels that are falling apart. We had a valley view room,... more

My wfe and I have just returned from a three night stay at this hotel. Staff are extremly helpful and food is quite good especially the Friday BBQ. But hotel is not up to a 4 star standard. Hotel maintenance very lacking, room furniture falling apart, cobwebs hanging from the room ceiling, topside pool with very dirty water and now... more

We spent 3 nights at the Cornucopia Hotel in Zaghra on Gozo, following a week in Sliema, Malta. What a contrast. From the noise and bustle of Sliema to the peace and tranquility of Zaghra; it was like stepping back to England in the 1950s. The Hotel is beautiful, the rooms are beautifully clean and nicely furnished. We only had... more

We have just returned from a wonderful week of suberb food, excellent wines, comfortable accommodation, delightful gardens with pristine pools, and above all faultless and friendly service. We've always thought Gozo was just a bit special, but this time the Cornucopia has exceeded our highest expectations. We have returned relaxed and refreshed after only a week, when usually we have... more

Our last review on this hotel was in July 2006. Then it was our second visit and we thought it was better than the first visit. Well today we have returned from our third visit and it is better still. The hotel may look a little worn in some places, but if you are looking for quality that offers a... more

Stayed at the hotel October 2007 and will be back fall 2008. Had a suite facing the valley; wonderful view over the valley, the village of Marsalforn and the ocean. The suite was huge with nice pine furniture, a wonderful bathroom with shower and jaccuzzi and a big balcony. Lots of towels, hairdryer and everthing was clean. The secluded garden... more

A fantastic hotel and bargain with superb service. If you don't want to pay more for those cottages, try to get a room in main building with the valley view, but you may have to make a phone call to do so because I didn't see a place to request it on the website. I agree, don't eat there for... more

In the tension area involving the expectations of hotel guests on one side and the offered quality of the hotel accommodation on the other, Victor Borg, the owner of Cornucopia, is walking a calculated, profit-maximization oriented line. What I’m trying to say is that he must be laughing his head off about the things he gets away with at the... more
