The only good thing I could say about our first floor room was that the views over the bay were a delight.
Firstly our room 101, There was huge amounts of mould on the bathroom wall and on the bedroom wall direcly above our bed flaking onto the beside table. The bottom sheet did not fit the mattress this apparently is the case in all rooms as we overheard others complaining. The mattress was filthy, I had to refit the wooden slats back into our beds every morning .The Wardrobe doors did not close/broken, handles on the draws were broken/hanging off. The shower door did not open fully as it fouled on the sink and was difficult to get in and out of the shower.Some reception staff were rude and could not be bothered.Restaurant was full of dock workers at opening time so all the food was gone straight away.Drinks in the bar were the most expensive in Sliema. Very noisy from the race track like road outside. Apart from all this Malta and its attactions are amazing. more
