The staff at this hotel are very friendly, but they did not make up for the lack of hot water, uncomfortable bed and air con (it was on full but did not make any difference to the temparature of the room). Breakfast was a disappointing selection.

Hotel is very old fashioned- which works well in the classic and expensive-looking looking marble landings and grand stairwells but not so much in the rooms. This old hotel is most conveniently situated in the centre of Valletta. It was good value. The staff were all friendly, welcoming and helpful. Breakfast, served in the rooftop restaurant was entirely acceptable. Dinner there was rather less acceptaBLE. The food was well cooked and the service efficient. But dinner was BORING! It lacked even a little bit of pizzazz!
