Withing walking distance from the historical sites, the central station and a large avenue were most of the buses stop. Standard rooms are stylish, clean and spacious. Buffet at breakfast could be larger, since very expansive. We stayed for three nights and got a good bargain. Staff is very, very kind. more

What a great place to stay. It has got everything you want from a luxury hotel: the most comfortable beds, fantastic bathrooms with supersize showerheads, fluffy towels, valet parking, attentive staff and delicious breakfast. The view from the rooftop bar and restaurant is breathtaking. Will be back soon! more

Usually I don't like so much big chain hotels as they are a little bit impersonal, but Sofitel Grand Ducal looked different on the photos. Location is convenient, about 10 minutes walking from the train station, and 15 minutes from the old town and most of the sites (Luxembourg is a compact city). After arriving by train from Brussels and Taxi from the Gare de Luxembourg we found a haven in the City! The Check-in was just superb and fast! The building is new and extremely modern in lay-out! Lux needed a new hotel, it is clearly the only hotel you should choose, staff are friendly and helpful, stunning bar. The rooms are put together with a little thought and work well. Location for town, European offices and airport/hotel is good but Lux is so small most are. more
