Stayed at the Roman Last Summer, and wish we went back this year!!!! The hotel itself is LOVELY, great decor, and a lovely swimming pool. The Staff were Great, especially the guy behind the main bar (cant remember his name now!). The BBQ buffet style food in the evening was the best we have ever had at a Hotel. Great... more

we read the reviews and were very worried about the hotel but after the first shock of the decor..mirrors..and the fact that they had gone a bit overboard with the whole roman theme we found the hotel was good value, our room was on the ground floor it was clean, although the towels could do with being fresher, the air... more

I've never been to the place like this before! good location and friendly staff (including a parrot in the reception area!). even though I've stayed there just for one night, it was unforgettable. cheap and clean. nice stop for a traveller looking for not too expensive and cosy place to stay. more

This hotel is so unique and in a central location with buses nearby to take you to the market - this opens Mon/Sat 6am until 2pm - harbour and Coral Bay ( a posy beach area with some shops to boot). There is definately a beach within 400m as stated. It is a municipal beach which has sunloungers and portaloos... more

Looks very nice outside, but dingy and dark inside. Bedrooms same with very hard beds. From early evening and thro' the night a loud generator came on every hour and lasted ages. Very noisy, couldn't sleep between that and the hard beds. Air conditioning practically non existant. Breakfast was a joke. All in all two weeks of misery. Only nice... more

Although the hotel is very quirky which is why i picked it, i found the small twin beds in the room the most uncomfortable i have ever slept in. There was no fridge in the room but you could ask for one apparantly. Lovely decor with all the murals but too dark and dingy. Interesting tombs in grounds to look... more

Don't be fooled about "400m to the beach". It should be 400m to the sea. If you like walking then this hotel is in a great location. However if you like the beach a car is needed (coral bay is a must). As for the hotel, it was clean, friendly but quite dark. The room was ok, hairdryer but no... more

We booked into this hotel knowing what a great laugh we would have due to quirkiness, not disappointed, having stayed here twice before.. Reception staff on arrival couldn't have been any more helpful. Dining room for both breakfast and dinner excellent choice, eat as much as you like, infact we did not need food for rest of day. Yes food... more
