i stayed in Pendeli hotel for one week with my family (2 kids). We got in through the social insurance holiday plan, on full board terms. We had excellent time. No complains whats so ever. Meals are great, the hotel is very clean and staff very friendly. Nice combination of workers from Cyprus, Rumania, Bulgaria and Poland. Many thanks to... more

We were surprised to be greeted by a British receptionist. He explained that at this time of the year (May) the hotel was rather quiet but would be filled in a month or so by people from Nicosia escaping the heat. The hotel contained couples and groups who were there primarily for walking - for which it is well situated.... more

I visited this hotel last week with my family (wife and two children) where we had a very bad experience. We were served expired bisquites on the first day and when we asked for an extra Nescafe sachet to make our coffee stronger the answer was that we had to pay for an extra coffee. Staff is not friendly at... more

An excellent hotel in a stunning location - in the Troodos Mountains, so the breezes are most welcome. Lovely swimming pool, plenty of space and terraces for relaxing. Family run hotel, very friendly with very high standards. more

We booked this holiday with Thomson Lakes via the net. We were not impressed by the booking administration. We received no less than 4 confimations of our booking, but when we paid our balance we did not get any kind of confirmation until I e-mailed to complain. I wanted to pay my balance on line, but there was a problem... more

All of the members of staff at this family-run hotel are very friendly and extremely helpful. Unfortunately, the very warm welcome afforded the visitor cannot compensate for the fact that the hotel is in need of some very significant sprucing up and refurbishment. Until work is carried out the hotel will continue to be uncomfortable and of an unacceptable standard.... more

Pleasant when you have a high room facing thew south coast. There's no mosquito netting (or air con to keep the doors closed) though and there are mosquitoes. Bring bug repellant. more

This review is based on a 7 night stay in June 2005 on B+B basis in a standard mountain view room. This was the second occasion that I have stayed at this hotel and will almost certainly return in the future. It is one of a very small number of hotels in the Troodos mountains to be featured in mainstream... more

A Lovely family run hotel, just as it says on their website. At the end of August Platres is a quiet village that tends to get busy at weekends with local Cypriots visiting the Troodos hills. The weather is lovely during the day and cool enough not to need airconditioning at night. The swimming pool was great after a days... more
