Am just back from a 2wk stay at these lovely apartments. We booked last minute and were a bit hesitant about what we would find but thankfully we were very impressed. Akamanthea is set in a quieter area of cyprus so if you want to party you don't want to go here. We found it to be just wonderful. Our... more

We have just returned from this lovely hotel and as previous comment a week is not enough. We usually go to Greece for one week a year and this is now on our list of places to return to. We booked through Olympia a week before we left and after looking at other reviews and checking online sites i was... more

Firstly,a week is NOT enough!! I will be returning next year for two weeks!! Upon arrival at 5.30 pm were greeted by a very friendly receptionist who was expecting us,there was no faffing about with names or any confusion. After being shown to our room and a brief tour of the hotel we were told that there been a table had... more

We stayed for 2 weeks from Oct 5th 08. We were self catering. It's in a lovely location and is a great base for touring. To get the best out of the holiday you really need a car. As it's a 2Km walk to Polis (nearest town) or Latchi(nearest village) The appartment was clean and the holiday village had a... more

Our stay did not get off to a great start, as the hotel did not have any record of our booking (not their fault!) but they quickly found us a suitable apartment and once we had it confirmed we were ok to stay we had a great week. Its a small, quiet site, with the self catering apartments in 2-storey... more

Akamanthea village is situated in the quiet area of Cyprus. Fantastic swimming pool and great staff. The brochure describes exactly what you will find - unless it is in black and white Olympic holidays disown knowledge. Self catering means no cooking, not enough for the number staying ie cutlery, plates, chairs etc. The operators on the telephone are very lacking... more

We booked this resort via KLR Resorts - a timeshare having got a free week in April 2007. Heavily touted as a "luxury" studio, it had air con, cooker, fridge/freezer, toaster, washer, dishwasher and a plasma tv. Anyway, we were given a downstairs, twin bedded room at first (131). When i reminded the girl that we had booked an upstairs double,... more

We have just come back from a 2 week stay at the Akamanthea in Prodromi. I was travelling with my partner and our 2 children aged 8 and 4. We arrived on schedule from Manchester and we travelled up to the Akamanthea by small bus that took approximately 90 minutes to arrive, this was ok though as it gave us... more

We booked a late deal for a week for 2 adults with Olympic Holidays through our local First Choice travel agent. I had looked at the resort on Google earth before hand luckily which prepared me for how rural and out of the way the accommodation was. Unfortunately we had a major delay at Gatwick due to an engine problem... more

Recently stayed at this hotel/apartments, having booked it at the last minute through Olympic Holidays. The holiday village was beautiful: reception nicely furnished, and apartments themselves were spacious, clean, big balconies etc. They have a small gym, tennis courts, indoor pool (which you needed to ask them to open if you wanted to use it). Grounds were immaculately kept and... more
