The Marion. Looked ok in the brochure. We stayed half-board. We got exactly the same breakfast every day. The evening meal was ok, same starter each night, main meal ok. Dessert was either an apple or a banana. We asked for ice-cream once. You would have thought we had asked for the crown jewells. On the second week, the food was the same as the first.
The hotel was clean, rooms regularly tidied and nothing was ever taken. Unfortunately, the hotel at that time had a problem with ants. Not their fault and they did try to rectify it.
It is a family run place, but not one of the family wanted to talk to the 'guests' . We felt that we were in the way, Not one of the family made an effort to speak and in some cases I thought they were very rude. We couldn't wait to leave.
We have since returned to Polis and had some fabulous holidays there, and have noticed the Marion has opened a new bar at the front, so they must be doing something right. However, customer hospitality is... more
