We really enjoyed our stay here. The staff were professional and friendly, especially the night bar man who was very generous with the drinks! The rooms were clean and the continental breakfast plentiful. It's in a good location, close to the Mirabell gardens and in easy walking distance to the main sights. We should definitely recommend the Markus Sittikus. Apart from being undoubtedly the quietest Hotel we have ever visited it still maintains the warm friendly atmosphere noted by other travellers. Like everyone else, found the location of this hotel great. The staff were very friendly, and were happy to help us plan our days out and evenings out too. On the last day, my wife was ill. They managed to cancel our tour that we had booked, organised a late check-out, and organised breakfast in bed for my wife....absolutely fantastic... more

I'd agree generally with all the positive comments about this hotel. The staff are all friendly, pleasant and English-speaking. As remarked on by almost everyone, the hotel is very conveniently located and easily accessed. Importantly, it is clean. I wonder however at a 4* rating?
