The hotel is a residential/hotel area across the river from old town. It is a small hotel in an old building. No air-conditioning. Rooms are really small but clean and comfortable. Not sure whether even the additon of ear plugs to my lugguage would have meant a peaceful night's sleep in this hotel. The noise went on all night from the road which meant the windows had to be shut which in turn meant the room became a sauna. staff very pleasant and the breakfasts good. more

Ok, I've stayed in most of the hotels in Salzburg and this one is by far the worste when it comes to noise. It is right on a busy road, with inadequate sound proofing. I have stayed in many NH hotels because they are modern and clean. Not so this hotel. We had a suite and it was shabby and had a dirty feel to it. The bed was uncomfortable and the bathroom cramped. The breakfast area was modern and food was average. NH has some work to do on this one! more
