You can't get any nearer the centre of the old town than this hotel. But it is badly let down by old fashioned decor, e.g. loudly patterned carpets, & beige tiled bathroom, and slapdash maintenance, e.g. curtain off its hooks, & cracks in the bathroom fittings. From the moment you walk in the front door the customer service couldn't be better. Incredible employees, large rooms, great location in the old center, big bathroom, and breakfast was good too. My family (2 adults and 2 adult daughters) stayed at the Weisse Taube for a few days in June 2009. The staff honored our request to be in separate rooms near each other. We stayed in this hotel for 2 night and had a good time. The staff speaks excellent English and is available to help with anything you may need. They were even able to get us a refund for a canceled concert from the tourist center at 9pm when everything is closed and we were leaving very early the next day!... more
