Clean, friendly, and inexpensive. Our daughter stayed at this pension in November of 2004 when she traveled to Salzburg while on break from studies in Florence. Pension Sandwirt was the best deal we got in our 2 months in Europe. The staff was incredibly friendly and helpful. They even had a train schedule there. Wonderful place! Location is great because it's right across the road (and tracks) from the Salzburg raliway station, which is also where the bus terminal and supermarkets are. The rent is cheap - had a 4-bed room with private shower (portable one installed in a corner of the room) and common toilet, for I think 50 euros for 3 nights?... more
