Hotel Wolf isa small hotel and so was our room; it looked over a back alley which was disappointing but we were glad to get the room as it was almost all booked when we walked in and asked for a room. It was very difficult to find the parking area; we drove around and around before finding it.. The... more

After having booked for 2 nights at this hotel, we had to cancel out reservation. The policy clearly stated that cancellations must be 10 days before check-in, otherwise one night stay will be charged. Even though we cancelled 10 days before check-in date, the manager (in fact I believe it was the wife of the manager/owner) said that she will... more

We choose Hotel Wolf for its location - for Christmas markets with a baby in tow, we wanted a central hotel.. & weren't disappointed. You couldn't get much closer to the action, the fantastic gluhwein bars and ice rink about 50 paces from our front door. We paid the extra for the larger room, which held us, plus cot, comfortably.... more

Glad to say we ignored the comments made by the family from Oregon. The rooms are, I agree, small, but what else can you expect in a boutique hotel that dates back to 1479 and only has 15 rooms? Staff were wonderfully friendly and helpful but politely discreet. No "Home on the Range" sing songs. This is a small, family... more

We stayed in the "wolf" for one night recently. We were in room 24 which was small but clean with a lovely modern bathroom and a very small, very hard double bed with access from one side only. The room was very good value, basic without any views but pleasant. We had the last room left as we just dropped... more

Me and my wife were at the Wolf last November. The hotel is very good located and we found the price fair for the accommodation they offered us. The breakfast was above average and the owner and the staff were very helpful and friendly. But be careful with the owner's wife. To be honest, we are not sure if she... more

We paid half the price of our hotels in Munich and Zurich for this terrific little hotel in the heart of Salzburg's old town. Our room was a mix of old and charming (stone archways) and modernized decor and bathroom. The breakfast room was very charming, and the breakfast was terrific. No one is at the desk overnights, so give... more

My husband and I stayed at Hotel Wolf for the last three nights of a 2-week European adventure. The hotel was a quick ride from the train station (cost about 7 Euros). The check-in was easy and the receptionist friendly. Our room (32) was clean and served our needs. I will say it was a strange room. The walls in... more

We have stayed at the Hotel Wolf twice, and enjoy it immensely. It is very reasonably priced for Salzburg. Obviously is can not compete with the top end hotels, but for being economical, it is extremely clean, and very charming with a wonderful buffet breakfast to boot. What is wonderful is the fantastc location in the middle of old town.... more

We stayed here in December before Christmas 2005, in the very spacious family room with our two children aged 14 and 10. The room was huge, with everything you need, and the ensuite lovely. Everywhere was clean, and we had to drag the kids away from the breakfast room each day, there was such a great selection! The staff were... more
