We stayed at the Meierhof (Conference Center) for Christmas and were very pleased. We had a wonderful view of the front lawn, the room was bright and airy and we were welcomed with a basket of fruit. The front desk staff was very helpful and there is a complete library with free wireless Internet on the bottom floor. Breakfast was... more

My daughter and I stayed at Leopoldskron at end of Jan 2008. We didn't actually stay in the house but about 20 yards away in the conference centre. The room was extremely basic, a bit like an army barracks in my opinion but was warm and had nearly every thing needed - the shower gel dispenser was empty and there... more

The Schloss Leopoldskron may look familiar-- it served as the Von Trapp family mansion for the film The Sound of Music! Now it is closed to the general public, but for anyone participating in the Salzburg Seminar, this post may be of some use! more
