We stayed at Via Roma in October 2006 and this was the perfect hotel for us. We arrived in Salzburg with no hotel reservations and went to the Mozartplatz tourist information office to check on availability. They booked us at Via Roma at the excellent rate of 110 Euro per night. That was the price that was quoted but we were pleasantly surprised upon checkout to find that by adding a night the rate was lowered and we ended up paying only 69 Euro per night. We were so surprised we even pointed out to them that they forgot to charge for the extra night we had added but they assured us that the price was correct.
We arrived at the hotel and checked in without any previous knowledge of the hotel and we certainly got a pleasant surprise.
