We chose to book this guesthouse because of its proximity to Innsbruck without being in the city traffic, but, if we were to do this again, we'd probably choose to stay in Hall, on the other side of Innsbruck, which was quaint and uncrowded. The guesthouse was more than adequate with a clean, comfortable room and substantial breakfast. We ate... More

A nice experience just outside Innsbruck. We stayed here for one night on the way home from Italy. The food was good and staff was helpful! The ambience was nice and Austrian and the wifi was easily accesible. The hotel was like a maze though, had to run up and down different stairs to get to our room on the... More

We book our stay for 3 nights at the Gasthof Zum Schupfen. We enjoyed our stay and the staff was quite helpful in our requests. I remind you this is a "Guesthouse". Meaning they have a bar and restaurant open for the public too. The Gasthof Zum Schupfen is located outside Innsbruck (6 to 7 KM). Don't panic! You can... More

This is a great little hotel! It's only about a 5 minute drive into Innsbruck, so it's conveniently close yet removed from the hustle & bustle of the town. We loved waking up to look at the sun shining on the Alps too! The breakfast was full & delicious - typical German/European fare. The staff was very friendly and helpful.... More

We stayed here for one night travelling as we were travelling back to Italy. We found the room very comfortable, warm and clean and the free wifi was very handy. Yves and his mother were extremely welcoming, telling us the history of the hotel and giving us advice about local restuarants (the hotel restaurant was closed when we were there).... More

This historic gem is a little outside the city, yes, but if you're a hiker, runner, or biker, you're close to Mutters. There is access to miles of trails leading up and around the Alps...where the locals go. Gorgeous! If you want to go into the city, the bus is literally across the road. We found the rooms to be... I stayed here a couple a few months back. The Inn is of signicant cultural significance, and was a regular haunt of famous Tyroleon leader Andreas Hofer, who famously defeated the French at the battle of Bergisel. The Inn is very spacious, clean and the rooms are very comfortable. Rooms are very adequate and have a typical gemutlich feel, meaning... More

We spent 5 nights in this hotel as a part of a transalpine trip. The 3 bedded room was clean, spacious and with a nice mountain view. This hotel has a small restaurant which was very good. Prices were decent too. Free wifi was available in the room. Every morning breakfast is served in a lovely room downstairs and we were greeted... More

We have just returned from a memorable trip to Austria. We stayed at Gasthof zum Schupfen for five nights and have nothing but praise for the way we were trated during our stay. The rooms are large and nicely decorated. The bathroom was modern and fitted with quality fittings although our shower head had a will of its own. Breakfast... More
