We went into the Erika unintentionally, as out first choice hotel, the Tiefenbrunner, was overbooked (or so they said.) The overall experience with the Erika was good, although there were some drawbacks, probably the mian one being lack of air conditioning - a problem in the warmer months as it could be very stuffy at night. Also, the rooms have... more

Nice dinners and breakfast........there was a great welcome when you came back cold from being in the snow.........you were offered free tea and leftovers from breakfast. It was like staying in our Nana's house you were offered alot and recieved alot of attention especially after we spilt red nail varnish all over the bathroom!!! The pool was great and there... more

I was very impressed by the Hotel Erika. A few of the reviews which I have read have commented on the food. I have to say that in comparison to other ski hotels which I have stayed in, the standard of the food in the Erika is quite high. Admittedly the choice is somewhat limited, ie. there is a choice... more

Driving back up to the UK from Italy, I booked this hotel direct after finding the details in the Lonely Planet guide. Arrived at the hotel, which is on the edge of town (about a 5 minute walk to the centre), impressive - clean, well kept gardens, great impression when entering the lobby. There's a garage for parking if you're... more

Stayed at this hotel 3 times now and it is my favourite. Not large but is a fantastically friendly family run hotel. The Schoerer family cannot do enough for their guests from taking them to play golf, walking and getting the chief (or receptionist) to double as a taxi driver in our experience. Ok there is no air con and... more

We first stayed at Hotel Erika four years ago when our children were 10 and 11. They declared it to be the best hotel ever so it was with some trepidation that we went back with them as teenagers - would it live up to expectations? I am happy to say that it did. This is a family run hotel... more

Stayed in Erika last week I don't think this hotel deserves it's 4 stars. I was quite disappointed to find out that: - the evening service is very clumsy - no room service available; no breakfast in the room - very noisy (I didn't hear the road but the neighbors and people walking in the corridor) - the bathroom was... more

I am staying at this hotel now. We first visited it 14 years ago and it is still run by the same family . They have expanded the hotel a lot and I feel the meals are not as good as they used to be. I have to agree on things being spicy and there really is very little choice.... more

We stayed at the Hotel Erika for a week and really enjoyed our holiday. It is located next to the main road with runs through Kitzbuhel but we did not find this to be a problem, except when relaxing in the garden when we could hear some traffic noise. We booked a suite which was at the rear of the... more

We have just returned from this hotel and were a little disappointed after reading all the good reviews here on this site. Yes they had lovely gardens but the hotel website and photos cleverly hide the fact that it is on a very busy road and is noisy. This is obviously more of a problem in the rooms nearest the... more
