The location is close to the subway station (5 min walk from Museum Quarter). Nearby is a cute street with restaurants and shops. It's a 15 minute walk to the city centre. Our stay at the Mercure was very nice. We were in Room 420 which is very large and has a good view. The breakfast were very satisfying with all kinds of options including freshly squeezed orange juice. The staff was wonderful-so sweet and helpful. Extremely expensive for a room whose bathroom was visible through a window from the hall everyone walked past to get off the elevator. (We arrived late and didn't realize what the set up was until going into the bathroom and turning on the light--just a sheer curtain over the window which put on a live show for anyone walking past.)... more
