We stayed here 1 night in April. Location was good , right across from the subway and walking distance from the inner circle. We were in the annex so the main hotel may be different but we never saw any hotel staff from the moment we checked in. The beds were really small but the room was large. It was OK.... more

Avoid absolutely this hotel. For the substantial amount of money yu pay, you get a very basic room, with IKEA-style furniture. In addition, I had a ventilator running through the entire night which I could not turn off. AVOOID more

I stayed at this hotel for a 3 night city break and was extremely disappointed. Firstly, I cannot understand how this hotel has been awarded 4 stars. Nor can I believe the some of the relatively high scorings awarded by trip advisor reviewers. This is a very basic hotel and felt more like a 2 or 3 star at best.... more

Excellent location - 5-10 minutes to St Stephens Cathedral (Stepansdom). good, spacious clean rooms, ideal for breakfast., although cheaper to buy your own in the city centre. look for the irsih bar in the centre for warm welcome and good food. more

I have stayed in literally dozens on hotels on business over the past few years and this is the only one I have checked out early from. I'm not a complaining sort of guy but I draw the line at being charged 4 star prices for a room that looks like it belongs in a youth hostel. I only wish... more

A very nice hotel with spacious rooms (we stayed twice and we had a double superior room each time). The decor is both original and funny - the beds are violet: they look a little bit like a Barbie-doll furniture. Breakfasts are very good, with a wide range of food products available. The hotel is close to the underground -... more

This was a quick break at short notice, with only a little forethought. Had checked a couple of reviews and noted that they were a mixed bag. Would agree that the hotels location is not perfect with little to do nearby , but with Vienna's excellent travel infrastructure it is only a minor grumble. The hotel is served by Nestroyplatz... more

We booked at the Nestroy based on reviews from this site. The outside looked good and the staff was pleasant (we spoke all in German). However the moment we got to the room we had problems. The room they gave us smelt strongly of urine and when I checked the toilet it was clearly urine encrusted. So back to the... more

We enjoyed our stay at this hotel. It was about a 10 minute long walk to the St. Stephen's area, and 15 or 20 to the Opera, but if you don't want to walk, you can take the tram or u-bahn. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The breakfasts were good. Our room was clean and bright, and not... more
