Stayed at the Arcotel Boltzmann in Vienna over the Easter Bank Holiday weekend - we took a coach from the Airport to the trainstation, and a tram to the hotel (around 16 stops). Hotel is in a quiet street in a nice area with a few restaurants around. The reception area is really nice. The rooms were trying to be... more

My husband and I have just come back from a short break holiday staying at the Arcotel Boltzmann. We had booked a superior double room and we were very pleased with the room we got. It was spacious, the beds were a good size and it was clean. The staff were friendly and helpful, providing us with a street map... more

single room for 3 nights at the beginning of december. attractive boutique-ish hotel in an old building. in a quiet side street, a few minutes tram from the center of town, enough restaurants, cafes etc. around. pleasant, standard-modern room. BUT the air from the heating was so dry my contact lenses, skin and hair dried out. nothing was (or could... more

Stayed at this hotel for several days. Room was clean and fairly large. We had no problems, but not luxurious hotel. Breakfast was nice and could be eaten in small court yard. Hotel is about a block away from tram to downtown ring. Part of university is across the street. Several stores and restaurant within walking distance. more

We stayed here for 3 nights in July 2007. Our room was at the 7th floor, big and clean. Breakfast is very good, a positve start in our days. The only bad thing at the hotel is the elevator, very slowly. The location is just a 15 minutes walk away from the Hofburg, some nice restaurants around the hotel (we... more

We stayed here for 3 nights and would have benefited from asking for a tram map at reception on the first day! The hotel is not very central - it's a fairly long walk out but the trams make it very easy. The rooms were clean and comfortable. We didn't find it noisy. It was a shame that breakfast wasn't... more

We stayed here for a weekend in December 06, with my parents having a "standard" room on the third floor, and myself and my wife having a "superior" room on the sixth floor. Beware! The standard room was actually bigger than the superior room, and it also had a bath, which the superior room didn't. I can only assume that... more

Be aware of the rooms next to the elevator. I could not get any sleep between 8.30 and 11.00 as the insulation of the doors is poor and I could hear people waiting for the lift chatting etc as if it was in my bedroom. Worse, I heard every movement of the lift as if the engine was right next... more

Stayed here in October 2005, Vienna was great and the weather fabulous. This hotel is fantastic value for Vienna and although not dead central it is handy for everything (next door to the US embassy) and walking distance from two metro stations. Schottentor (U2) is near the cathedral but if you come out of the hotel take a right, past... more

Stayed here for New Year's weekend having left it late to book and did not have high expectations. But this turned out to be a pretty good little hotel. Very friendly service from the young staff, clean well maintained rooms, and closer to the city centre that we had expected from the map (Vienna is compact!). From here we did... more
