We are just back from a short two-day trip to Vienna - were going to the beautiful Christmas market at the Rathaus. It's our third time in a row going to Vienna's Christmas market - and we usually stay at the Novotel - this time it was fully booked. I should have checked the Tripadvisor ratings before I booked and... more

Was there for a business trip with a colleague in Oct. Both rooms we had booked were not ready or available. Were offered a an attic apartment in Hotel. Was in fact a corner room split into an apartment. The salon (living room) was converted temporarily into a bedroom. The bed was a sofa-bed. One room had minibar a tv, one... more

This hotel, centrally located adjacent to the NachMarkt has a number of two and three bedroom suites in an adjacent building. The suite was fairly cheerless with a kitchenette and simple furnishing, but adequate for a family group seeking to limit expenses. Breakfast was served in a basement room in the hotel, which on one occasion was quite stuffy. Wifi... more

Overall we quite enjoyed our stay in this hotel. It was our last stop and we were very exhausted at this point, so we spent a lot of time relaxing in the very comfortable room. Overall the hotel was lovely, well-appointed and quiet, though a fair walk to the sights. We had a few disagreements with the staff though, twice... more

Well, despite that warning to your left, I am not a staff member for the hotel, just someone who stayed there in January 2009. My boyfriend and I were here for 3 nights and we LOVED it! The reception looks so posh when you enter, there is a large spiral staircase and a tastefully decorated lobby. We showed up at... more

Modern, nice and clean rooms; maybe the bathroom needs a bit of refurbishing. Friendly staff and good breakfast. Very closed to the downtown, very well interconected Metro. more

Although a little difficult to find on our arrival but we should have followed the directions given on the Hotel Website they were the best and easiest. On getting our bearings it was easy enough. Our room was a little small and on the top floor. Bathroom was adequate but also a little small. But on staying there 4 nights... more

Stayed at a single room for single nights for 50 EURO per night. For this price the hotel was perfect and offered a good value for money. It is not a luxery hotel, and my single room was a bit small (although very functional) and the room could use some renovation. However, this is a great location, 10 minutes walk... more

Overall I am really glad we stayed there. Have to admit I was a little nervous after reading the reviews were being reviewed, but everything was fine. Pros: 1)Good location- a little hard to find, but once we got our bearings it was only a 10-15 min walk to the main tourist areas. Very close to the metro line. Plus... more

My husband, my 15yr old daughter and I booked for a couple of nights in Carlton Opera Hotel 1bdrm apartment. We checked in at the hotel, and our apartment was in their building around the corner (there was also a walkway through the back of the hotel). It was fabulous, living like a local a la The Third Man. The... more
