Well we stayed at this hotel during our honeymoon.. not that this wld color my judgment. Firstly, its so well located. Loved the bells that i cld hear from my room each morning and evening, making me feel as if i was actually living in the 'sound of music' era.... The breakfast was scrumptious, loved the breads... One of the best located hotels in Vienna. We had a spacious suite, though a bit funky. Great, high ceilings. Not cheap but well worth it. Lovely breakfast. Staff curt (see other review) but not unfriendly. Be sure to visit St. Peter's church across the street. More magnificent than Stephansdom! more

Excellent location, rooms were quite expensive for what you get but were bright, airy and clean. The reception staff were extremely unfriendly and unwelcoming and this would put me off staying here again. more

The Wandl has the benefits of a great location just off the Graben and near Peterskirche, nice atmosphere and is well kept. Try to get a room overlooking the Peterskirche, although not if you don't like hearing the bells at 7 am. Some of the rooms we booked were small and cramped, considering the price. more
