I was really disappointed with my stay. The main problem was that due to wanting a non-smoking room I was put up in one of the "attic" rooms and like a lot of attics, it was blazing hot. Also, due to unfortunate placing of window treatment hardware, you could barely crack the window. It would be nice and cool outside... more

Last day of my parents holiday and my Mum's bag was snacthed from her CHAIR in the hotel RESTAURANT! Disgraceful! Her mobile was obviously stolen, so when, in tears, she asked to use the hotel phone she was told it would be ahcrged to their room!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! NOT ACCEPTABLE! more

We stayed four nights and found the Falkensteiner to be fantastic. The room was clean and well sized. The breakfast was amazing. The bar was a friendly and comfortable place to while away the late evening. Staff were really helpful and the laundry service was a little expensive but efficient. There is a computer in the lobby if you want... more

Although it was far from perfect, I found the Falkensteiner to be an excellent value for the money. You might not. Most of the upper floors have not been renovated yet, and lack high-speed internet. When I asked the front desk to move me to a room with internet, they informed me that the only rooms with high-speed are smoking... more

This was a great hotel. The room was not large, as is normal for European hotels, but was absolutely clean (white sheets and a white bath/shower are top of my requirements) and has obviously been recently renovated. For the price, this was the best hotel of our European trip. The buffet breakfast (included in the room rate) was fabulous. I... more

Okay location (within walking distance to the U-Bahn) but the rooms in floors 3-5 are overdue to be renovated: Worn carpet, old furniture (they call it "Biedermayer style" -how ridiculous), small in size and smelly with disgusting yellowish stains on the bathroom tiles. When asked for a renovated room the women on the front desk said all are occupied that... more

The Falkensteiner Hotel Palace is a Great hotel. But when I arrived (after travelling all day) I was informed that the hotel had overbooked & that I would have to spend the first night at another hotel two minutes away (annoying, but that’s life I suppose). Anyway when I returned the next morning, the hotel upgraded my room & gave... more

Stayed at the Falkensteiner Palace from the 12th to the 15th. Initially had room 308 which was very clean but compact. When the reception was spoken to they changed the room to 215 which was much bigger with a lounge area. Breakfast very good and all in all very good value for money. The area itself is a little quiet,... more

Just stayed at this place for a quick business trip to Vienna. Since our company is on a cost minimalization program, I avoided booking a room at the larger, central hotels (about $250-$350 per night). However, I wanted to avoid the situation I was in last time I visited Vienna, in which I stayed at an inexpensive hotel that had... more
