We stayed at Falkensteiner in December 2009 for 2 nights. The hotel appeared rather nice, Personnel - helpful. Rooms were clean and tidy. Glass (matted) walls of the bathroom make the room appear rather stylish. Breakfast was not fantastic, but still fairly good. The breakfast area was rather small. Location was not fantastic, but also ok. It was within walking... More

Quiet comfortable hotel in quiet residential area, but only 20 minutes walk from cental Vienna. Clean and comfortable room, and helpful staff. Hotel is located close to supermarkets, other shops, and retaurants; and only 10 minutes away from the not to be missed Nashmarket. Ubahn only 5 minutes away. Ony minor niggle no kettle in room - there was a... More

Very nice located, it has parking, though it's quite disturbing to put and get out your car, you always need do call someone from the frontdesk to realease your car from the suspended parking. Design is great, rooms maybe small, but very funcional, and the restaurant is regular, but very expensive. More

Booked this hotel on Hotwire for one night for 86$. I requested a room with 2 beds for my child and myself, and received a room on the 4th floor. Was told by receptionist at check in that breakfast was included in the rate - which came as a surprise since that is usually not the case when booking on... More

Honestly I'm not a big fan of hotel chains, so if it wasn't for a business trip, I probably wouldn't have picked this hotel in the first place. However, my first impression of the hotel was quite ok: friendly staff, a modern lobby, ok location (not far from the metrostation). Unfortunately, things got quite disappointing when I got into the... More

A good hotel located not far from downtown. Good clean rooms with comfortable beds. We lived on the top floor and our room was magnificent terrace overlooking which could admire the view of the city. Near the hotel there are several good cafes and shops, also near the underground station that makes all the necessary facilities available. The area in... More

My boyfriend and I travelled to Vienna for two nights from Graz and needed to keep hotel expenses low. I researched several hostels and also looked at hotels under $100 on hotels.com. The Falkensteiner Hotel Palace (FHP) was offering a double room for $77 per night on hotels.com which was about as much as a hostel. In spite of some... More

The hotel is about 3 blocks away from a U stop and the area is decent. However - it is not really the best area and at the prices this hotel charges you can do better. I got an amazing deal on Expedia and was still disappointed. This is NOT a 4 star business hotel, which they claim to be.... More

A nicely arranged hotel; great breakfast. But nothing particularly special about it. Pros: reasonable price for value, good location (close to Ubahn). Cons: Thin towels and no toiletries (only a soap/shampoo dispenser). More

After a warm welcome and really friendly staff at the reception, the first thing that ruins the impression is smelly corridors. We were at the third floor and as soon as we got out of the elevator, we felt stuffy air smelling like a diaper depot (ok, maybe a bit exaggerated, but definitely not smelling like a clean hotel). And... More
