We stayed six nights at the Allstadt in April. The room was terrific, the staff pleasant and helpful, and the location just a bit out of the maintstream - which worked for us. We were booked at Das Tyrol but they messed up and double booked so sent us here for one night of our 3 night stay. Big mistake on their part - would choose Aldstadt for a return visit any time. Just returned from four days in Vienna. The hotel was lovely. Above standard you would expect for the pirce we paid. It was spotlessly clean and L'occataine products in the en suite. Very impressive. I had high expectations for this hotel based on the (mostly) glowing reviews on TripAdvisor. While the building has some architectural interest, the rooms are funky and the building is choppy, musty, and in a terrible neighborhood. The neighborhood may be in transition, but I certainly prefer to spend my tourist money in areas devoid of pawn shops, grime, construction.... more

This is a charming, lovely hotel a ten minute walk from the Ringstrasse and a very pleasant walk to most everything. The hotel costs $220-300 and is absolutely worth it. I've spend my birthday there. The hotel's director gave us good information to go to museums/restau etc. When we came back to the hotel, a bottle of Presecco already waited for us. I liked the tee-and biscuit-time (15-17h). Every room has got a different style. Very tasty! more
