A nice hostel, but not a party one. That's why I chose it, because I needed to sleep ;) I stayed at the first floor, so sometimes it was a bit noisy. Good room, with fridge! Loved this place. Very close to the central station- a 5 minute walk. We stayed at the Strawberry hostel in vienna in Sept 08. It is well located - a few blocks from the WestBahnoff train station, which was very convineant for us, since we had a train from the stn the next day. Good place to stay in Vienna if you want to do things on a budget, but still stay in a pretty central location. This hostel is located 5min walk from westbahnhof train station and is four metro stops from stephansplatz which makes it very well located. We had booked a double room but as these are student rooms during term they in fact only have twin rooms. This hostel is nowhere near as good as the Salzburg branch! It was nice enough but because it was summer, the days and nights were very hot and the windows only opened a tiny amount! Its still worth staying here as accomodation in Austria is generally quite high. Its just under 10 minutes walking from the West Banhof station. more

The rooms were alot nicer than the other Strawberry hostel we stayed in in Salzburg. The staff were friendlier and the rooms were clean and very ikea-like. Vienna is a wonderful place, it is very clean and all the people there are so friendly. This hostel was no exception. It is quite large, with a big reception and common room area.
