My husband and I stayed at Panda about a week ago for 5 nights and were very pleased with our experience. Panda is a small hostel that seems to be housed in a converted apartment, located quite close to Westbahnhoff. There is no reception at the hostel - if you arrive outside of 10am and 2pm you call the number on the door and the host is there in minutes (I suspect she lives in the same building or very close by). It is on the 3rd floor of the building and there IS a small lift.

I completely disagree with the previous review. Panda was beautifully cleaned every day, the hosts were friendly and helpful, and the hostel itself close to many great places to eat and only about 10 minutes walk max. from Westbahnhoff (where the international trains arrive). As far as not being in the hostel between 10 and 2 - this is very common practice. It is time for the hosts to clean etc. and to be honest, why would you want to be inside when you could be out exploring Vienna?? We did not... more
