This was a good location, although kind of tricky to initially find. The staff was good, but the hotel rooms were pretty bad. We had a triple room, and it was really tight---not just small, but tight! The bathroom smelled bad, and the towels were really old and frayed. I would not stay here again. more

This 1* hotel is 10 minutes walk from the Ring and 15 minutes walk from the Stadtopera and the historic center. It is very close to the museums quarter and the Karl square. I would highly recommend the Hotel Terminus Vienna. The staff was most accomodating, friendly and helpful. They advertise that "Pets are Welcome" and they certainly are....our small dog was treated like royalty. Okay, so the Terminus is a bit basic, but it's full of character, the staff & especially the manager are really friendly & helpful. Not just surface friendly, but really interested in making sure you enjoy Vienna & your stay. A different breakfast each day, or variation & existentially challenging conversation. I like! We chose this hotel on location and budget price. It was clean, basic rooms with ensuite, TV etc. Staff were helpful and spoke good english. The breakfast was included and was very good value.
