We had booked the Nordstjernen Hotel for two nights. When arriving we immediately noticed the old, shabby building with much of its paint coming off the walls. The lady at reception was very welcoming but could not the erase the image of having entered a hotel without renovation since the 1970s.
Our room was facing the main street of Narvik with lots of cars and trucks passing through all day and night. Because of the old wooden windows it was very noisy. Furniture in the room and the en-suite bathroom was clean but very old.
We left a day earlier and will most probably not return to this hotel.
