I stayed here on a business trip to Norway. The hotel was steps away from the train station and only a few minute walk to all of the attractions. My room was a decent size for a European hotel. I had a view of the new opera house and harbor. Breakfast was very filing each morning. more

First of all: if it would have been possible I would have given it 3,5 stars instead of 4 as total rating. The hotel is in a great location, next to to train station (you don't hear the trains) and a few miniutes walk to the major atractions, shopping street, restaurants and bus station. I highly recommend the THON OPERA Hotel in Oslo - very clean, very nice staff, exquisite breakfast - very well situated near the train station (for the express train to and from the airport) and the new Opera House. Very central : you can visit most of Oslo walking from the hotel. more

Located practically attached to the train station very convenient for us a we had an overnight sleep before another train departure; that was the reason of our hotel choise (if not it will be a little too far from the Aker Bryge). Rooms are clean. Breakfast is good. Clean and nice hotel. Stayed two nights at this hotel and two at the Oslo Plaza - and prefer the Plaza. They are both in the same area so location is great. The Thon Opera Hotel is a huge hotel in an incredibly convenient location - right at Oslo Central Station.
