After some confusion with the tourist map I was given, I eventually found the Thon Astoria with the help of the friendly staff at another Thon hotel in the area. Nice room, good buffet breakfast, walking distance to all touristy places such as the ferryport, the palace and train station. more

I stayed in this hotel for one night. I was going to a conference in Loen, Nordfjord region, but stayed for 1 day in Oslo. The hotel is obviously recently renovated, which made it very enjoyable.
