Bad unhygienic, dirty, full of insects. I reserved a room 2 weeks prior to coming, on arrival (11.30pm) I paid full amount and was overcharged by 20 krona. Then I was given room key but there was NO space in room,MY BED WAS TAKEN, as hotel was OVERBOOKED!!. Terrible, I had to sleep rough on floor somewhere else in Oslo,Great!!!... more

Long time reader or reviews, first time writer of one. I felt compelled to write a review after one of my worst hostel experiences ever. Most of the staff were really unhelpful, uninspired and seemed generally bored, with no interest in answering questions. Service is not something I usually care too much about in general, I usually like to just... more

Had 2 stays during August with 3 kids. As many hostels you'd rent sheets and towels. They were very clean. Bath is basic (sink, shower and lavatory) Hostel's 10 minutes walking from Oslo Central Station. About some critic opinions I found in the net: Absolutely no insects. No drugs trafficking (instead of the huge drug supermarket in front the main... more

The hostel was very clean and the room was a very good size. The bathroom was small but very clean and everything worked as it should. There is also a kitchenette to use with a frdge and hob. You just need to get the cutlery and crockery from reception. My only BUTs, was that when I booked it, my reservation... more

I stayed there for one night during my trip to Oslo. It wasn't so bad as i though it gonna be ( because i saw some bad reviews before). Although the price could be more affordable for the students. And yeah the kitchen staff which you can rent should be nice and clean...not full of oil and whatever else. The... more

we arrived, signed some stuff and got the key to our room. we were 2 girls, and we booked a bit late so we had to take a mixed 6 dorm. I was quite unsure how that would be sleeping with strange guys after reading some horror stories on here, but that turned out the least of our worries!! visitors... more

We booked and then read some of the awful reviews so were really pleasantly surprised on arrival. Spacious room cleaned every day we were there. Good cooking facilities, fridge and wet room within our 5 bed dorm. Duvet and pillows provided but take linen, towels and cooking utensils with you although if you don't have space in your luggage you... more

Hostel's pretty average. basically its a good place to sleep in. Linens are extra which kinda sucked since Its one of the very rare times Ive been to a hostel where the linen was not included in the price. Dorm is apartment style. there's a fridge ensuite so it helps with keeping food fresh. Not really a hip hostel where... more

I read lots of horror stories on-line before I went, rough area around hotel, beasties in the beds, horrid staff, dirty rooms etc. To be honest I found the hotel okay, rooms was clear and larger than I expected. Room for two that I stayed in had a cooker and fridge. You can hire kitchen equipment for a small deposit.... more

- kitchen and toilet in each room, even we are staying in 6-bedded dorm - comfortable beds - kitchen tools to be rented at reception, have to face the staff again - BUT have to queue for half an hour before being served, just too many people with too little staff, and the staff are extremely rude - BUT the... more
