Me and friends of mine went to Oslo, and stayed one night on this hostel, room 622. at first this look great room and confortable for all of us, but at the morning... more

We were five people going to Oslo for six days after Christmas. We've chosen Anker Hostel by chance, but we were very lucky. Quite big room, a kitchen with fridge, small but nice bathroom with shower. The room was cleaned everyday (cleaned for real, cause I'm quite maniac about it), nice staff at the reception. Unfortunately, every time you want... more

My blanket had blood stains on it, and one of the people in my dorm room was a prostitute. She tried to recruit me into the sex trade so I requested to switch rooms and staff were nice about it. The rest of my dormmates were refugees waiting to find apartments in Oslo and it seems that new immigrants made... more

This hostel is excently located - around 5mins walk from the main street of Karl Johans gate. The area around the hostel is the immigrant district of Oslo, and so a few cheaper bars and restaurants are close by. Hostel rooms were pretty good, kitchenette in the room was a massive money saver, and nice to have shower and toilet... more

I arrived in the hostel at 12am, and took a taxi from the train station to the hostel, it costs me 100NOK. Location is good, staff is very nice and friendly. I had a very comfortable stay in the hostel. For the single young lady who is planning to go there, pls note:- I went out at around 1am to... more

We stayed in this hotel for 3 nights at the end of June and had a twin room. Room The rooms were very clean and spacious with a small but adequate bathroom. There was enough wardrobe space. Location The hostel is just a short walk from the train station and although the area was not overly nice it felt safe... more

Cheap, with clean reception. The room itself was in need of renovation - bugs on the wall! Unfortunately we stayed a night when the students above (all upper floors are owned by the University) decided to jump 2 floors and one guy was badly injured. The staff on the front desk did not seem unduly concerned about this. more

This hostel is modern and clean, the 'bar' area is just the end of the reception desk. Its not a sociable hostel and they charge you for everything. The rooms have their own little cooking facilities. Its near a really nice area of Oslo called Grynerlokka which is young and trendy with nice little vintage and independent shops. Bars are... more

We arrived past 11pm and had to check in through Anker Hotel next door. The counter staff in Anker Hotel who check us in was really polite. The same can't be said about the staff in Anker Hostel. They go about doing their job efficiently, but can sometimes seem impatient with guests. The room I stayed in had 6 beds... more

This is a sterile and characterless place where the sofas and table football in the reception have more personality than the miserable, orange-t-shirt-wearing staff who work there. We were lucky enough to have a Turkish prostitute staying in our dorm, and were consequently woken at 2am every morning by the shower. This place is the pits but it happens to... more
