After landing "cold turkey" in Rorvik and speaking only English, I was at a loss what to do next. Thanks to the personal connections of the front desk staff, I was able to visit the island of Naeroy, where my Great Grandfather Isak grew up as an adopted son of the priest, H. Heyerdahl, in the 1880's. This spiritual journey would not have been possible otherwise. I hope to return someday from the USA and give these same ladies another big hug and stay longer. The rooms were very clean & comfortable and their breakfasts were GREAT! more
