Stayed one night at the Brekkestranda Hotel in July 2008. Only ended up their as everything else nearer Bergen full and had to phone them to get a booking (don't expect a reply to an email!!).
Despite ending up there as no where else had any vacancies was very pleasantly surprised as a really nice place.
Fantastic location with unbelievable dreamy view across fjord about 1Km from Brekke (which has a couple of shops).
Attractive rustic "Norwegian Style" rooms in sort of log cabins in a linked row facing across a grassy area on edge of Sognefjord. Cabins have "green roofs” i.e. sort of growing peat coverings which is supposed to be ecofriendly and make them cool in summer and warm in winter. Terrible weather and when we arrived the room was cold but an hour later (thanks to the room’s excellent insulation) the heater had got it nice and cosy.
