Stayed one night at the Hotel Holberg during a holiday stay in Bergen. The hotel is a three star and not to expensive for norwegian hotels. I am currently in the lobby of the the Holberg writing this. Stayed here for three nights and my overall impressions are positive. Prepaid for my stay so I saved a few dollars, plus the hotel is located opposite the harbour/Bryggen, which also probably explains why its more affordable. I enjoyed my stay here and it was cheap in comparison to a lot of Bergen. The rooms are small but very clean and comfortable. The bathrooms are again small, but very functional. The location is excellent, only a short walk from the centre of Bergen (which is small). In summary, the hotel is extremely comfortable and worth a stay.... more

We arrived late and stayed for but one night and found the hotel quite a ways from the main train station and not easy to find. Although, it is situated close to and walking distance to the harbor and other attractions. The room is quite small with an even smaller combined toilet and tub/shower area.
