Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

The worst hotel ever! Me and my family stayed two nights. When we arrived the room was so dirty. Dust and long hair all over from previous guests. The pictures on the website is misleading. It is also a lot of noise from the street and between rooms. The bed is not comfy at all! Room 510 smells sewage and only has a rooftop window. Had a stroller with us, but the elevator only went up to 4th floor, so we had to carry the baby and stroller up the last floor. Don’t recommend this hotel! Unless you’re having problems finding the way home after a visit at the nightclub (witch is located at the first floor and in the basement of the hotel) and need a short stroll/crawl home.

do not stay here If you want to and needs to sleep at night !! The music from the disco will keep you from it. The wending machine is broken, and the reception did not know when it would be fixed. Price is low, the bed is comfy, the room ok. But the management should write in the description: suitable for people who stays up at night and sleep during the day. Will not recomend this Hotel, and will never stay here again !!!

Overall, the stay was ok. The location within Bergen is walking distance to the train station and there is a small grocery store nearby. The young woman who checked me in was friendly and offered some recommendations of places to visit. The room was clean and the size was as I expected. However, having not read the reviews carefully enough, I had no idea the hotel was over a night club. Luckily I was at the back of the hotel on the 4th floor and that muted some of the noise however it was still loud. The hotel does provide ear plugs in the room. For safety reasons, I do not like to sleep with two earplugs however there was no choice and they actually did block out the noise. However you cannot wear earplugs and relax watching some tv before bed. Was it a horrible experience? No. Would I stay here again? Probably not which is too bad as everything else was fine with the hotel and location.

Gave a fair review for being clean and comfortable but above a club so very noisy from 10pm to 3am every night. Complained to hotel but no reply received. Don't think this should be marketed as a hotel as not a resting place and way too much money for putting up with the noise. Trip was terrible because if this.

DO NOT STAY IN THIS HOTEL!!!! Staying in this hotel you will be trying to sleep in a nightclub. Afer 11pm the whole hotel shakes and vibrate to loud music from an adjacent nightclub. You will find in any booking site a small fine print to say that some noise 'may be experienced'. Noise will be experienced so save yourself any stress and find another hotel. I am writing this at 2.30am on a Thursday night in July and I am praying that there is a power cut!!!!

Definitely a very basic hotel. You will not find the following things: a 24h reception (if you will arrive late you will have to do a self check-in), amenities, separated bath soap and shampoo, tea or coffee (but you will have a boiler..and fake and dusty flowers!), breakfast, daily cleaning service. These missing for 190€ per night?? Norway is crazy so maybe yes, but never again. There is also a noisy club close to the main entrance so maybe the rooms at the first and second floor would be disturbed.

Very basic, no frills, no staff in the evening, no parking, but in the city center, and serves its purpose! Nothing more to say...why does this have to be 200 characters...encourages only those with something very good or very bad to say

It is 230 in the morning and the bar next to the hotel is still playing so loud are floor is vibrating and it’s a Sunday night, this has gone on all four nights we have been here and we haven’t slept at all. There has only been one person at the front desk the entire time we have been here who said sorry about the noise that is a problem. No one brought us new towels no one cleaned the room. We were even locked out of our room one time and had to call a security guard who called someone to switch our keys over the phone. I did not booked this room my travel agency did and obviously he did not read the reviews. Don’t waste your money or sleep staying here .

Where to start. Don't expect any help at the reception desk, in the 3 nights we were there it was either open but had no visible staff around or was shut early. The room was a decent size on the 5th floor but as the cleaners only visit the hotel one a week, there were dirt marks on the floor and the window ledges looked like hadn't been cleaned in months. When we sat in the bed we noticed the bed made a strange sound, when we looked we realised the end of the bed had come away from the frame, as there were no staff around my partner had to try and fix it by pushing the pieces back together. When looking at the website and other hotel apps, it mentions that they have a bar. Well they don't, however there is a bar right next door with the nightclub running right under the hotel. Of the 3 nights we were there (Saturday-Tuesday), we manged to sleep through undisturbed 1 night. The other 2 nights the nightclub was open (Saturday and Monday night) and the crap bassy music went on from 11.30pm to nearly 3am! The heavy bass in the music managed to travel through all 5 floors of the hotel and could be felt through the floor and the bed. The earplugs provided by the hotel were not sufficient to block out the sound. The hotel are obviously aware of the noise issue, yet still do not warn their paying guests about it and when we could eventually find a receptionist and asked about the opening hours of the bar/nightclub she got evasive and acted like she didn't know anything. In the course of our stay we noticed that other hotel guests had left in the middle of the night for better accommodation, as much like us the ridiculousness of the situation had became too much. Whoever thought that putting a nightclub under the hotel, clearly did not have the hotel guests well being in mind and is only interested in the money. It is worse than terrible, youd need minus ratings to rate this place.

It’s in a good area - five minutes from the harbour. Check-in was smooth, the staff were great, and initially I was thrilled with the hotel and my room. Unfortunately, I hadn’t read the reviews before I booked this place which is really ironic as I write a lot of reviews for Trip Advisor. The room was a nice size for a single and was clean. At 11pm on a Wednesday, the music started. I hadn’t noticed it was next to a bar. I also didn’t pay any attention to the ear plugs provided. The music lasted until about 2:30am. My room was on the fourth floor and it vibrated to the bass. Everything else with this hotel was perfectly acceptable. My score is a 2 1/2, not a 3.
