The hotel is conveniently loced near (only 8 minutes walk) the port (Hurtigruten) and the old part of town with several restaurants and bars nearby, but the street in front of the hotel is rather noisy. We stayed 2 nights and the hotel is kind of central however about 15 minutes walk from train station. The room was clean however a strong odour was permanently in the bathroom, not very pleasant. We stayed in the new part of the hotel. We could park the car infront of the hotel while we unpacked the luggages. Then they told us where we could park the car. We were given a room across the street and the first thing we noticed was the terrible smell in the lobby which was worse in the elevator (like dirty dust bins); when we saw the room,it was old, dark and totally unacceptable. I stayed two nights in a superior room. The room was large. I missed a safe in my room. Efficient reception staff. Modern lobby area. Average breakfast. Location is ok for exploring Bergen. Quite a normal hotel. We got a smoking room, even though we didn't want this. The size of both the room and bathroom were nice. However, the toilet was dirty (you could see that others had used it (I want it to be white in the bottom).
