Had to split my time between two hotels on a short stay because of a mid-summer tourist rush in Bergen, and kind of glad I did. The Augustin Hotel is located in a rather nondescript area on the far side of the small harbor from the main tourist sights. For some reason the walk to the center was just depressing.... More

This is the reserve hotel to the Brilliant hotel Grand Hotel Terminus. By some strange reason they are priced at same level though it should be a 1,5 factor between them. Augustin is not bad but knowing this I felt cheated. More

Great breakfast and the best wine bar in Norway (for real). Small and small rooms, just the basics but much nicer than a chain hotel. More

Having paid 300 USD for a small single bed following a Norway in a Nutshell trip (strongly recommend the fjord excursion), I was disappointed with the size and accommodation of the room. Yes, in Norway, you pay royally for most anything, but I still think the price was quite high for the product. A higher touch of amenities, bedding, etc... More

A solid middle-of-the-road hotel in Bergen. Close to the main part of town but slightly removed and therefore less busy. All the basics are covered, though it's probably not quite as nice as the Best Western next door. Wine bar in the back is very cute and worth a drink or two. More

The mere two nights we stayed at the hotel were sufficient to impress my wife and me that this is a professionally managed good hotel that one wants to stay again if the occasion arises in future to visit Bergen. In particular, the front desk staff were always smiling and helpful with polite answers to any questions asked. In the... More

Pleasant and comfortable with free tea, coffee and waffles in the lounge. Very central. Good eateries in street behind if you don't want to go to the tourist part of the harbour. More

This hotel is fine, ordinary, adequate. Nothing special, nothing terrible, as noted by most of the reviewers here. The location is blocks from the Fish Market – the tourist center. It’s a longish walk to the train station, too far for us lugging suitcases. While most rooms don’t have a view of the harbor and Bryggen, a walk along the... More
