We agree with many recent reports. This hotel has a fabulous location on the harbour at the end of Bryggen and many rooms have a great view. I'm not complaining about the price, everywhere in Norway is alarmingly expensive for foreigners, for Brits just think of a number and treble it for everything; rooms, meals, snacks, knitwear, tickets etc .... more

The Clarion is an expensive hotel. I am hesitant to recommend it. I would have to stay at other hotels in Bergen to compare. Perhaps you are paying mostly for location. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The room was nice enough. A corner room overlooking the harbor and the old town. But it also overlooks the Radison hotel... more

We have been there for 3 amazing nights, check in was easy and we have been upgraded from superior room to beautiful junior suite. We stayed at the Clarion Collection Havnekontoret after taking the "Sognefjord in a Nutshell" tour from Oslo...It was my second time in Bergen (my wife's first) and the first time I visited Bergen I took the "Norway in a Nutshell" tour and enjoyed the Songefjord tour more...It is slightly more expensive and includes a long boat ride (about 5 hours)... more

Very nice hotel. Good position just near the main touristic street. We had a standard room, very little and with no view. A minus for the services. But the breakfast is very good. And something else. The hotel offer a light dinner between 17-21. more
