Took a train into Bergen on a Saturday during high season with no reservations. A travel companion called No. 17, and the owner allowed us to stay for a great rate. The buses aren't bad if you know the schedule. It took only about 10 minutes to the center of town. There is a kitchen and laundry and hiking trails...

The "farm" (it's just normal houses..) lies far outside Bergen. If you wanna walk to town, it takes you more than one hour by foot. The buses leave very unregularly!
The rooms are not small, but not beautiful at all. Obviously there hasn't been any refurbishment during the last 10+ years...
