I stayed at the Steen with a friend. The room was clean (though when we separated the twin beds we found lotion and other items from past guests). The staff was friendly and helpful. They were always happy to give directions. We found the room cold and the staff immediately brought an extra heater and comforter. The heated floors in... more

This is a very intelligent and comfortable update of a classic Bergen mansion with tall ceilings and (in the breakfast parlor) stained-glass windows. The young staff are friendly and helpful, the breakfast is delicious, and the neighborhood (across from a park and one block from Bergen University) is pretty. Steen's sits on top of a hill.
