Stayed here as part of a tour. Rooms were excellent with closed in verandah which meant we could leave the door of the actual room open at night to allow the breeze through. yes this is an older motel but the rooms are big with a little shady patio. the pool is great and the service very helpful and friendly. The meals are better than anything we had in cairns. This is a very remote area. You do not come here expecting a highrise.Try it, we loved it.

One of only two motels on the island- stop over on your way to/from Thursday island- very helpful staff and building is from the 1970s, but very well looked after- large rooms with double + single beds- lovely garden area and clean saltwater pool

stayed a few nights for work the staff were great remember this is Horn Island and accross the water from Thursday Island, quite remote, given that it's a good place to stay
