We have recently returned from a week in this hotel as part of a 54 seat coach party,all of whom enjoyed there stay immensely. With it's 1950's decor, 1940's fireplaces, and it's lift from the land that time forgot (it may be a good idea to avoid the upper floors as guests sometimes hook back the manual lift door, making it unavailable for others!), it has a downstairs restaurant that is a little dingy. Hadn't been in the hotel five minutes when the toilet holder in the Gent's toilet fell from the wall when touched. Our hotel room bathroom was disgraceful.- Pitted sink, stained bath. The hotel was ok in general; however it really could do with some updating. The staff were wonderful and very helpful. The room we stayed in looked nothing like the pictures. The ceiling was peeling paint and the wallpaper in the bathroom was ripped. They had squeezed the loo in a tiny gap and every time you tried to flush... more

My wife and I stayed at this hotel for one night and overall we felt that it was very jaded and in urgent need of a complete refurbishement. just had five wonderful days in the Princes , the rooms are very clean , the hotel food was excellent and the staff very friendly and helpful . there is a lift to all floors .I would not hesitate to recommend this hotel to people of any age . more
