We stayed here over Easter for 2 nights and had an excellent time. The hotel is in a great location, has wonderful views and the staff were very helpful in meeting our needs with a 9-month old baby. The best part was the newly re-furbished library, which was a great setting for after dinner drinks with friends! more
I stayed at The Cavendish Hotel on January 11, 2007. I selected this hotel because of the great reviews and great rate I got on Expedia.ca (around $100 Canadian/night). The hotel was easy to find (right on the Grande Parade) and had plenty of available parking. Front-desk staff were very helpful and friendly, and quickly resolved any issues we had... more
Although the location of the hotel is excellent and our room was OK, visitors need to be aware that a major refurbishment is in progess and that some areas of the hotel are closed. Getting to the car park involves a fairly long walk around the block. Standard rooms do not have air conditioning and are quite small. We paid... more
I stayed at the Cavendish Hotel for two nights on a recent business trip. The reception areas are well decorated to compliment the age of the hotel and the room was fantastic, very light and airy decoration, high ceilings and a huge balcony with sea views. The room had all the amenities required for a comfortable stay. There was a... more
just returned from a 3 night stay at the cavendish. The location is excellant and check in was very smooth. We were allocated room 310 which over looks the bandstand. The fact that it is the most humoungous room with an 8 foot double bed makes up for the basic furniture and tatty radiator. The view from the patio window... more
Having a wish list of places left to visit together we decided for our Wedding anniversary to cross off Eastbourne if we could. Searched the internet and asked around of friends and acquaintances from East Sussex area and things were not looking to promising for a good quality Hotel at a reasonable price. In the end the Cavendish looked the... more
We booked a suite at this hotel to celebrate my partners birthday. It was the bank holiday weekend so we considered ourselves lucky to get a room at all. The hotel looks nice and is right on the seafront. When we arrived I asked if I could park my car in the car park and was quite told, in a... more
I set aside a few days to take my elderly neighbour on a short holiday. We spent a Saturday afternoon looking at hotels in Eastbourne. My neighbour has good memories of holidays taken in Eastbourne from when she was young. The Cavendish Hotel was always considered one of the best in Eastbourne and her parents stayed there on various occasions.... more
We booked this hotel at (literally) the last minute on a Friday night. I had spent a while doing research online, as it would appear that most of the hotels in Eastbourne are more like retirement homes! Fortunately, the Cavendish is an exception to that rule. We booked a standard double sea view room which was bright and clean, a... more
