Organized a group booking for 40 people. Was amazed at how our large group was dealt with so efficiently. Rooms were clean and cosy, as was rest of hotel. Staff and service was brilliant. Everyone was very friendly and made the group all feel at home. Views from rooms were also great, sea front views make a difference! Amazing value... more

Not a good experience at all. The appearance of the hotel from outside is enough to make you turn round and go home but we were on a coach so had no choice. Hotel was clean and warm but the food was way below what you would expect from any hotel. Bedroom big but decor throughout very tatty and outdated.... more

After being welcomed by the friendly receptionists, my wife and I were shown our lovely room with a beautiful view across the seafront. After getting our belongings unpacked, we dined at the in-house restaurant. The cuisine was great - I recommend the haddock lemon dish. In fact, it was so great we ate there for lunch the next day. Since... more

It was crap. I was misled to believe that it was good and how wrong that was. The staff show the worst skills i have seen and they have a lack of motivation partly becuse they told me that the ower does not pa them at the right times. more

We were booked into this hotel as a coach party. We didn't have any say in the matter but have previously had good/excellent hotels with the same company so didnt anticipate any problems. On pulling up outside the hotel the poor condition of the paintwork and general outside appearance gave forewarning of what was inside. Although the hotel was not... more

My wife and I have just spent 4 nights at the Heatherleigh. The room we were allocated was not fit even for a single person let alone a couple, machine type noises continually throughout the night kept us awake, half the electrics did not work, the shower was dangerously defective and resulted in my being scalded as the arrows on... more

I am a group organiser and I took my group to the Heatherleigh Hotel, Eastbourne first time in August 2007. At first all my members were a little concerned about the communication with some of the staff members as English was not their first language. To our surprise and joy we were made to feel very comfortable within few hours.... more

We stayed at the Heatherleigh Hotel, Eastbourne for 2 nights during our long weekend holiday. Its a very comfortable and cosy place. Our room was overlooking the coastline with beautiful views. The staff was also very attendant and helpful. We would definately go there again.... Richard White, London more
