This is a really lovely place to stay. The rooms are spacious with a modern feel, nice crisp white linen and silky throws/cushions. The addition of the kitchen is a real bonus, especially with a little one. The location is amazing, 2 mins walk to the beach and 5 mins to the town centre. The owners were really helpful and... more

I stayed inthis gorgeous hotel with some friends and have never been more comfortable in hotel in my life. The service we received, was as if we were part of the family. The rooms are luxuriously decorated and it clear that alot of time and thought went into it. The food was lovely and everyone had a good time. I... more

Having never stayed in a guest house in the UK, I've always imagined small dark rooms with heavy grey curtains and dingy carpets, HOWEVER this guest house is a lovely, spacious but cosy, contemporary charming house. The rooms are very generous in size with a kitchette and shower room. More than the presentation of the house, the owner makes the... more

Good time had by all at the guest house east!. We loved everything about the place, and will definately be back in the summer months. I can honestly say that it has changed my opinion of the humble guesthouse. This place was bright and airy with luxurious touches I'm a sucker for silky throws and soft furnishings and not to... more

I have had two stays at The Guesthouse East. On both occasions my room was spacious, elegantly decorated and spotlessly clean. The bathroom was large and furnished with plenty of clean towels & toiletries. The kitchen had everything I needed to prepare tea, coffee and light meals. There were numerous thoughtful touches such as complimentary tea, coffee & hot chocolate... more

For the independant traveller you couldn't ask for a better place to stay. The rooms are large and the option for self catering is ideal. The only down side for me was our room didn't have a bath tub but all the other facilities were of a good standard. Carl was an excellent host who genuinely cared for his clients.... more

This is a hidden gem in this established seaside resort. It has spacious rooms, comfortable beds, attractive contemporary decor and ...a kitchen! Karl and Sarah are extremely welcoming and friendly and cook a mean full english breakfast! It's location in a quiet street just off the promenade is within walking distance of the town centre and a good selection of... more

Having been recommended this as a place to stay by my brother I was still not expecting much for the money I paid, but was very pleasantly surprised by Guesthouse East The rooms suffered from none of the mistakes that happen in seaside B&Bs. Lovely room with a very comfortable bed and facilities to cook yourself. Really felt at home... more

My husband and I stayed at the Guesthouse East with our one year old daughter. Longing for the weekends away that we used to have, I chose the Guesthouse East because of the warm service I received from Carl when I telephoned to make my initial enquiry. From the time of booking, we felt like we were going to visit... more
