I was working in Eastbourne a few weeks ago, for a week, and did not want to stay in the Premier Inn since I assumed there would be much better places to stay nearer the centre of town and because I wanted to go for a beer and an evening meal in the town and the Berkeley (technically a Bed... more

We are from Ausralia and were touring the UK and had the pleasure of staying at this wonderful hotel in early September. The location is excellent as its near all the the main attractions as well as the beach. This family run hotel has real charm and the owners were very friendly, helpful and hospitable and took particular intrest in... more

Brief break at eastbourne made enjoyable by the friendly welcome at the berkeley and the clean pleasant bedroom which was really comfortable. The entrance hall looks most inviting and the dining room a nice place to eat one`s breakfast which was well cooked and tasty. it is particularly handy for the theatre although i did not visit this attraction. more

The whole family (both our parents and our children) loved this place. The owner couldn't do enough for us to make us all feel welcome. The place was freshly and most tastefully decorated with beautiful new carpets. The food was brilliant and we all slept really well. It was wonderful value for money and to a very high 5* standard.... more

Nice hotel, small and clean, well furnished, good location, nice breakfast in morning, good bathrooms/shower, pleasant and friendly staff. A bit overpriced at £84 prpn, but that's English hotels for you. We stayed here for a wedding and had a pleasant stay. If you want value for money though, don't stay here. For the £80 odd I would have preferred... more

From start to finish, I had a brilliant time at the Berkeley; the room was well appointed and spotless; the food was excellent; the owner was so polite and couldn't do enough to make my stay the best it could be. Also, it was within easy walking distance of the theatres, sea etc. I will definately be back! more

We searched high and low for a hotel or guest house that had an additional room for our baby as part of the main room. Hotels only offered suites which were mega expensive and we could not find a guest house that had this facility ... until we stumbled across The Berkeley. If you have children then ask for room... more
