Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Although a lot about this hotel is positive. It is a nightmare for the single guest. The Single bedroom I was in was so small it was claustrophobic. It appears they have very little interest in the client experience or satisfaction. People have a right to decent and adequate hotel accommodation. Money may be made by sticking people in broom cupboards. Reputation, however is lost when no interest is shown regarding the obvious displeasure it causes the unlucky guest.

We were pleasantly surprised at this hotel. Our room was well thought out and had everything we needed in it. I had phoned ahead of booking to request a room with a shower which we had. The bed was comfortable though the pillows a little hard (I requested a softer one which was promptly delivered to the room). The room itself was very clean. The food was great and they catered to my dairy intolerance, the serving staff were efficient and polite and being able to order dinner at breakfast was a great help. The entertainment in the ballroom was very good although my hubby objected to the one singer finishing her repertoire with a Vera Lyn song which was inappropriate for most of our group - we might be old, but not that old! A suggestion to the chef or whoever creates the menus, it would be helpful if the menu indicated whether it contains dairy so that the waiting staff don't have to go back and check each time. all things considered, I would recommend this hotel highly

The room being a single was small but as I spent all day out on a coach it was all I needed. The bed was a bit hard but it may have been new, the only bad night I had was the first night when I didn’t get much sleep. Good size shower and toilet. The food for breakfast and in the evening was very good, they ask you at breakfast what you would like for your evening meal so it is delivered hot, tea and coffee can be a bit strong so if you want it slightly weaker all you have to do is ask. The evening entertainment is quite good not brilliant just good.

Excellent food and entertainment. Rooms are adequate for the price paid. The lift is a nightmare, old fashioned, heavy metal sliding door which is difficult to move and considering the majority of Guests were elderly a major health hazard. The ballroom seating is inadequate for the amount of guests.

Room was spotlessly clean with tea and coffee replaced everyday. Staff very friendly and helpful. Could not fault food, good choices and plenty of it. Evening entertainment most enjoyable. Would definitely recommend.

Have been here 3 times now and really love it. We come as a group. We had a party for one of the Group.here last night and the hotel did a good job. The singer was brilliant. The rooms are a bit dated but clean.and comfortable, especially for the price we pay. The food is lovely and the staff are friendly and helpful. We'll done.
