My husband and I spent 3 nights in this gem of a B & B in Eastbourne. To call it a B & B, however, is misleading, as that conjures up pictures of sliced bread for breakfast and sheets that do not quite fit. The Manor tempts with homemade bread for breakfast and very comfortable rooms. Wendy and David even... more

The welcome made me feel right at home, after a long day on the road, tea and cake overlooking the stunning garden was a real treat. The room was comfortable, elegantly decorated, well presented and very clean and tidy with lovely attention to detail and overlooking the garden. Wendy as a hostess is delightful, friendly, personable I can truly see... more

We have just spent two nights at the beautiful Ocklynge Manor. The owners, Wendy and David, were exceptionally kind and welcoming. Their dedication to guest comfort was paramount. The Manor itself is absolutely immaculate and furnished with stunning antique furniture. From the moment you enter, you will be made to feel like you are part of the family. Our 5... more

If you arrive late afternoon, the first thing you'll notice is the wonderful smell of bread baking. Then hostess Wendy Dugdill brings you tea and cake (silver pot) to a sunny upstairs nook where long windows overlook the beautiful old trees and spring flowers of her lovely walled garden. This is just one of the extra special treats of this... more

This was the second time we have stayed here. We have family living in Eastbourne but with limited accommodation. This is a wonderful sanctuary after a day spent with our two highly active grandchildren. The quality of the rooms, garden and breakfast is first-class. The location is excellent, quiet but close to the town centre. The best thing is the... more

What a little gem. This place is very special. Welcoming, perfectly done-out, lovely garden, good breakfast, huge rooms (ours was, anyway) and the host and hostess are very friendly. Probably not the cheapest place in Eastbourne, and it's not on the sea front either, but other than that, I can think of nothing to say against it. Would go again... more
