We stayed overnight at Ocklynge and planned to walk the Seven Sisters during the first day. We arrived early in the morning and were welcomed by Wendy and David, supplied with a map of the area and then left our car while we went off for the day. We walked across to Beachy Head, over the Seven Sisters and up... More

We stayed here 3 nights in early May. It was faultless: elegant, stylish, spacious, beautiful garden setting, friendly hosts, on-site parking. Such a contrast to the tired foreshore hotels! A great base to visit several famous English gardens and the stunning coast at Beachy Head. More

After a long day, the welcoming drinks and cake and warm reception from hostess Wendy set the very high standard for our stay at Ocklyne Manor. Bedroom was spotless and comfortable, great views of the garden. Totally quiet and restful. Breakfast with home baked bread and home made preserves was superb. A thoroughly enjoyable stay. This is a most glorious and exquisite venue for a relaxing, quiet holiday. It certainly ticked all the boxes and exceeded our expectations. Wendy and David Dugdill are the most delightful and helpful hosts. I described the large garden as the “Garden of Eden”, so idyllic and peaceful with so many features and quiet areas to sit. Ocklynge Manor, once... More

Our hosts made us welcome from the word go, beautiful rooms, so much attention to detail. Gorgeous breakfast, the home made bread and preserves were to die for. We stayed for two nights, the comfortable beds and absolute peace, we wished we had booked a longer stay. Saying goodbye was like leaving old friends. Jan and Sam. Somerset More

Ocklynge manor is a perfect place for relaxation and to get a feel of "the nice England". The service is absolutely spot on, the rooms are clean, breakfast perfect and if you enjoy a nice garden - lovely. More

ocklynge manor is a very relaxing and peaceful place to stay. Wendys high standards were consistent throughout our stay. Wendys homemade jams and bread add a warm homely feel, Wendy and David were very friendly and helpful, helping us with maps for walking. More

We spent two nights here in early April. It's a beautiful, spotlessly clean, interesting Georgian house with a stunning garden, lovely owners, fantastic breakfasts and home made cakes! We only wanted to walk on the Downs and it's conveniently situated for that - but there are so very many other things to do and see in the area that we'll... More
